Scripting

PowerCASE supports full scripting of all features via extensions to the Python language. Scripts can be recorded as the user performs actions in the GUI. Common uses of scripts include:

• Import or export a large number of parts
• Recreate a standard analysis setup
• Set the display properties of many parts

Data Import & Export

Geometry may be imported and exported using one of four geometry formats:

• STL (binary or ASCII)
• ANSYS
• NASTRAN
• PATRAN

The simulation setup can be saved for later modification in a .case format or prepared for discretization and simulation via the .cdi format.
