The Voron Trident is the successor to the Voron 1.8 and was officially released Aug 2021. The Voron Trident is a traditional CoreXY design where the bed moves along the Z axis. There were many minor upgrades in the recent revision but the major upgrade from Voron 1.8 moved from 2 linear rods to 3 linear rails on the Z axis. This was a great advancement and helped improve print quality issues due to z wobble of the linear rods and limited the printer to a bed size of 300x300mm. Now the Voron Trident is also stable at 350x350mm.

The Voron Trident is a simpler build than the Voron 2 and can also be built with a 250x250mm, 300x300mm, or 350x350mm bed.
